I haven't watched this season to the end yet, because its not completely released in my country yet. But I did want to give my opinion about this situation. I didn't like the love triangle with Jack and her best friend in earlier seasons. She was so obviously flirting with that guy, while it was obvious she was supposed to be with Jack. And than she acts all surprised that that guy proposed to her. And now they have created a similar love triangle with Lukas and Nathan. She was dating Lukas, but at the same time stringing Nathan along. And now she apparantly ends up with Nathan. The way she plays with mens hearts just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I will admit they loved each other in Elizabeth's dark times. But that I can't live without you, love I don't see no matter how many times I've watched season 7,8 and 9. There was no deep conversations, if it was Lucas would know about Jack Sr and Elizabeth would have known about Lucas past. They avoided all of that because there was no deep trust. Their love was service level only. There was nothing in common. Lucas wanted Elizabeth to validate him as a better man, a honest man. That's something you have to do on your own. It was too many holes in their love. Neither one of them said they were in love with the other. That is a big difference!. Lucas knew but he didn't want to admit it.

I have watched scenes of Elizabeth and Nathan over and over again, never tiring seeing them together and always having tears in my eyes cause they are so meant to be together. This series was so well done! I HATED his mom at first, but eventually I realized that she was just socially awkward and fiercely loyal to her son. I loved the way each of the characters developed throughout the series.

Good for her rejecting him and moving on.
